So why do you think he should be banned exactly? LIke Christina said there are ignore features for a reason, so fi you feel so inclined use them and don't fill up space about how person X should get ignored because you think they are an asshole. And if others do they can do the same.

I think to request someone to be banned purely because you think he is an asshole is perhaps a little extreme. after all, if goblin had everyone banned he didn't like then there wouldn't be a zone. However, I believe that if a user creates a duplicate account with someone else's name as part of the user name, and with a definite malicious intent, then that user should be first on the banned list ...
personally i like blindguy! he's funny! so what if he rubs a few people up the wrong way! keeps the place lively if nothing else!
I have to agree with claire though about people creating duplicate accounts. apart from anything else it's plain cowardly! if you've got something to say either to, or about, somebody then have the balls to do it as yourself! if you aren't that brave then keep it shut!

Yup the ignore feature is there for a reason. Use it, the person wont be able to quick note, private quick note or email you. If you can't stand his boards topics then I suggest that you skip over them. I mean when someone offended me on quick notes, I ignore them.

Outside of the ignore feature, look at this angle. Those of you who want Blindguy removed would probably raise seventeen kinds of hell if one person or a group of them decided that you should be removed. I first of all think Blindguy is either a total asshole who admits he is, else he knows what pushes people's buttons and is having a good laugh on us. OK, fine, excellent, whatever, no big deal. He's a cartoon character if he's just playing us all for a laugh, and if he's for real I don't see anyone putting a gun in my back demanding I read his or anyone's posts or anyone else's. You choose what you read and to an extent you choose how you react to it.

Noone should be allowed on here with more than one account though, and noone should be on here to cause distress to others either. He couldn't annoy me in Quicknotes though.
Hi formula 1999, I sympathize with you, and totally understand where you're coming from. Unfortunately, since this site believes 100 percent in freedom of speech, there isn't anything anyone can do. Freedom of speech is a bit different today than it was when I was younger, and in my mothers' younger days. So, with todays freedom of speech, people feel they have the right to be jerks, and love doing it. He's another one of those fine folk I just have to skip over. As for those who are an ... what you said, I think they think we are, ... and would probably like to have us removed. The other kind of people think nice people who speak out against jerkdom are just as much of a ... as we think they are. They won't skip over our posts, so there comes a time when we have to skip over theirs. I gues in short, though I understand 100 percent how you feel, if everyone could have anyone else banned for being a ... then people like that could have us banned as well. And if he can post about killin people, I can post my dislike about it. And the ignore feature don't do anythin about avoidin the posts.
there's a plan in place to be able to let you ignore board posts. Blindguy hasn't done anything that is needing of a bann. We've talked with him, and he should be calming down. He has every right to express his opinions, and everyone has the right to state their opinions of him, but understand that until he does something that is worthy of a bann we won't be doing anything. Blindguy just likes being an asshole. And maybe it pisses some of you guys off, but that's why he does it. If you let him piss you off, he'll be there. And you can ignore him, but there will always be people who won't. So I don't see him leaving any time soon. And you know what? Yup the block feature now works on the boards. So formula if you say you have him blocked he now can't bother you on the boards. Now can we close/lock this topic now that it was taken care of?
no, as much as we want to lock topics, I remember the last time we tried this, people got pissed. So, no more locking topics unless it's agreed uppon by everybody. However, you did speak the truth. The ignore feature does work on the boards now, so you can pretty much stop dealing with him altogether. All you'll see is him logging in, and that's it.

Alright my thoughts from my previous postings about Blindguy being removed has changed and everyone has a valid point. Yeah Blindguy should be able to stay, hell after all it's freedom of speech around here. I haven't had much of a problem with him since the posting that I posted above about him on here.
However if someone does happen to issues with him, then use the ignore feature. I personally have not used it but for several reasons I might add. I just think he's rude sometimes and decent other times, well I guess he has his days like everyone else does on here.

I've only been on the zone for about a month, but I find this whole thing outragious. Think how you would feel if someone posted a topic with your name in it in a negative light.
I know some people say that drama is everywhere, and we should just accept it, but we should never accept down right rudeness without at least speaking up.
I can say without doubt that _ALL_ of the people I have spoken with here on the zone have been friendly and outgoing, and that includes TheRomanBattleMask.
